Terms of Service — Aegis

By inviting Aegis to your Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Aegis is a free Discord bot providing server security auditing, an AI assistant (/ask, powered by Google Gemini), a Cyber Breach RPG mini-game, a community security wiki, and voice channel music playback.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Aegis to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Attempt to exploit, abuse, or manipulate the economy/game systems (e.g. through automation, self-botting, or database manipulation)
• Use /ask to generate illegal content, or content intended to harass, deceive, or harm others
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer Aegis's infrastructure

AI Assistant Disclaimer

Responses from /ask are generated by a third-party AI model (Google Gemini) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Aegis's AI responses are not professional, legal, security, or medical advice. Use your own judgment.

Availability

Aegis is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice, particularly during active development.

Server & Data Removal

If your server removes Aegis, associated economy, wiki, and audit data may be deleted upon request. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or block Aegis's access to any user or server that violates these terms or Discord's own policies.

Disclaimer of Warranty & Liability

Aegis is open source software released under the MIT License and is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. AshcrestHQ is not liable for any damages arising from the use, misuse, or inability to use Aegis, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as Aegis evolves. Continued use of Aegis after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
